IT's over now!

The semester is over now. I can't believe how fast it went by. I( had a blast to say the least. I learned so many things and experienced so much. With the end of the semester comes the end of the year. This year seems to have flown by. This year was amazing, full of so many unexpected thing, The financial crisis and our new president. I feel like I had an amazing year and I am confident it will finish this way. Life is one of those things you have to take by the horns or it will pass you by. A year used to same long to me. Not any more. Days, weeks, months, and years fly by at an amazing rate.

The Holidays are here!!

Last friday---->BLACK FRIDAY! marked the start of the busiest shopping season of the year!!! But to me it's marked the start of the worst shopping season! I love to shop and buy gifts. I just hate to shop during Christmas, but I guess shopping is better than working. At least when I shop I can go home afterwards! Not when I'm working. I have worked retail every Christmas since high school, can we talk about crazy! people really lose there minds around this time. Fighting the crowd is one thing, but being forced to assist them is another! I'm sure everyone by now has heard the stories of trampled employees! It is impossible for you to truly understand customer service unless you have worked during the holiday season. This is a job that only a few chosen ones can tolerated so please be nice this holiday season to all the holiday employees!

FROM the BOTTOM to theTOP

Last Night I was so proud. I felt like I changed the world. Like it has been said a million times in the past hour I never imagined this would happen.

With that thought in my mind and a lot of hope in my heart I voted anyway! As a race I don't think you could ever truly understand what it feels like to be held back by the world. Or what it's like to truly wonder where you come from. To be ripped away from the culture that makes you who you are and forced to adapt in a society that doesn't want you there.

TO say MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK is not to offend you it's to applaud the efforts and progress of who we are as people(and a song). we came from the bottom literally. The bottom of a slave ship in shackles. Our parents and grandparents were raised as second class citizens. And now finally we have became a true part of American history, and not just our own.

It's not about his race. It's about his mind and how he makes the WORLD feel. Looking at him we are able to see hope for a better tomorrow. But you could never understand how he makes us feel. For the first time I truly feel proud to be an American, and not just an African American

High School HIV Out break

While I was browsing my favorite website, mediatakeout.com I ran across a story from St.Louis about a high school HIV outbreak, where 50 students tested positive for the virus. Now the entire student body will be tested. My jaw hit the floor. I have heard of high school students having HIV before but an outbreak???? IN HIGH SCHOOL, Not college, took me by surprise. I couldn't imagine getting ready for homecoming and being told I have HIV, or graduation for that matter. I think it is past time for us as a country to get serious about this situation. Especially those in the African American community. This isn't a disease you can come back from, this is a disease you will have for LIFE. I have a younger sister who is in high school and I make it my business to tell her the truth about unsafe sex and the consequences. We live in a time now where it's wrap it up or DIE. One silly move could cost you your life, and the lives of others.

Danity Kane

Last Night on the season finale of Making The Band, Diddy dismantled his top selling female group, because of internal issues. This is huge!! Over the years fans have grown with this group from the very beginning. However, rumors had been circling for months about Aubrey and D woods were being kicked out from the group. The remaining members, seem hopeful that maybe things will work out. Diddy however didn't appear to feel the same way. This is certainly a saga that will continue.

BEYONCE Is Back!!

Yesterday Beyonce hit 106 and park with the videos for her two new singles, If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies. Both videos were great to say the least. Not just because I'm a huge fan either. Single Ladies is a non-stop dance video, while If I were a boy is a mini movie. Beyonce flips the relationship roles in this one. She plays the busy boyfriend who seems to do everything wrong, and the guy plays the faithful girlfriend who does everything right, but still gets the short end of the stick!. I can't wait for the album, but these two will do for now. They are sure to reach the top of the charts!

Obama laying the smack down, while Palin becomes the laughingstock of America!!

Did you guys check out the debate??????? It was better then WWE on Monday nights( I think it still comes on then). I was so riding with Obama all the way. I loved how he was able to back up everything he said with facts. While on the other hand, McCain clearly was a deer in headlights. The best part of the debate was when Obama turned to McCain, addressed him as John, and told him exactly all the times he had been wrong!! That deserved an Oscar!!

Senator Mccain's running mate, Govern Palin, deserves a comedy award. Everyone thinks that she is a joke. Saturday Night Live can't get enough of her. Like Jack Cafferty, CNN anchor said, she is one 72 year old heartbeat away from becoming the next president of the United States. Even Sharon Osbourne had a little to say about Palin while on Ellen.

I don't know about you but I can't wait for Joe Biden to really make her look hilarious at the next debate!! I'm sure there will be many laughs that night{;0).
